"AFTER MANY YEARS I STILL THINK ITS BEAUTIFUL THAT PEOPLE DREAM OF CLIMBING MOUNTAINS.  ITS WIDE-EYED, CHILDLIKE AND MAGICAL"

We’re all called in one direction or another. From a young age the mountains and the outdoors offered David solace, challenge, joy, and heartbreak. Over three decades his life and work were built upon that foundation.

David’s passion is witnessing and sharing the human experience within the amphitheater of our natural world, and specifically the world’s great ranges. This is a demanding environment that asks much of us, but also gives a great deal in return if we meet that challenge.

He has a diverse work background that encompasses this fundamental passion. He’s a family man who knows that certain aspirations are only fulfilled while in delicate balance with other aspects of our lives.

When not in the mountains you’ll find him on his paddle board at sunrise on the Puget Sound, working in his light filled home office, training with friends, biking through the urban Seattle streets, or on the floor with his son in ecstatic laughter surrounded by bright colored crayons and legos and dinosaurs.

He loves his coffee. He's less in love with his wrinkles from years on high glaciers.
